Intelometry’s loss factor service includes historical distribution and transmission loss factor, deration and unaccounted for energy (“UFE”) values for many utilities in deregulated markets across the U.S. Subscribers receive an Excel based file for every utility subscribed to containing hourly historical loss factor values as well as deration and UFE values for available utilities. Each loss factor provides one (1) year of historical data.

Loss factor data purchases will be e-mailed within three (3) business days. Large data sets may be zipped and sent in multiple e-mails. For extremely large purchases data will be provided via a File Transfer Protocol (“FTP”). Instructions for data access will be provided when an FTP data transfer is required.

Intelometry provides loss factor subscription options that ensure our customers are always using the most up to date loss factors to facilitate retail energy market operations and analysis. Loss Factor Collection and Updates

Intelometry collects dynamic loss factors and UFE values for utilities that post such data, and deration values for PJM utilities. Intelometry maintains static loss factors by regularly reviewing utility tariffs and other sources where such data is posted. Collected loss factors, UFE and deration values are maintained as historical looking hourly curves. Each loss factor provides one (1) year of historical data.
